How to move once in Milan
The city is served by a capillary network of underground and overground public transport.
On the underground and on bus lines 56, 70 and 73 you can buy your ticket by paying directly at the turnstiles or on board the bus with the contactless bank cards of the Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Maestro and VPay circuits. The service has no commissions, nor is it necessary to register.
For the other bus and tram lines, you can buy ATM tickets on the ATM Milano official app or at any of the authorized outlets (bars, tobacconists, stationers, newspaper stands) found throughout the Milan area and on intercity routes. In this case, it may be useful to evaluate the following rates (which are calculated automatically in contactless payment):
- Daily ticket: 7€, 24h
- 3-day ticket: 12 €, valid for 3 consecutive days from the first validation, until the end of the transport service on the third day, i.e. at 03:45 in the morning
